While the president drags his feet on a decision for a potential surge in Afghanistan, his aides used the Sunday circuit to attempt to paint the Nobel Peace winner as a tough guy.

According to an Associated Press story featured in the Chicago Tribune:
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will not commit more U.S. troops to Afghanistan until he is convinced that the central government can be a credible and effective U.S. partner, a senior White House aide said Sunday.
Obama’s hard line is interesting. If the American people would take such a stance against our own government, perhaps things would get accomplished, since our own president and Congress are neither credible nor effective.

Obama’s really losing his touch when it comes to covering up idiotic statements with excuses. He’s sort of abandoned the ‘change’ motto and convincing people he’s the one who will fix everything, and he’s realized he can say that Afghanistan could be a potential US partner and Congress will just nod their heads without a second thought… why? Because it’s Obama.
