Although Obama sympathizers managed to derail what would have been the area’s largest Tea Party, they cound not stifle the movement.  Over 7,000 patriots came to Jim Miller Park in Marietta to voice their disgust with Washington’s deaf ears.

The featured speaker for the night was the dynamic Herman Cain, conservative talk radio host who broadcasts from 750 WSB Atlanta.

Reminders of the 15,000+ April 15 Atlanta Tea Party were everywhere, but no one seemed to mind the change of venue forced by the pro-Obama Simon/Gwinnett Place Mall.  The Cobb Tea Party folks were very well organized, and the assembly came off like clockwork.  In other words, it was very unlike Washington.

There’s nothing like getting together with a bunch of teabagging rednecks to protest a black president, is there Janeane?  Oh, that’s right, you weren’t there to hear that most of the night’s comments were directed at Barney Frank and his comrades in Congress.  Or that an “angry black man” did most of the talking.  Oh well, there’s always September 12…
