Talk Radio “Terrorizes” California Republicans

In a Los Angeles Times interview with California’s state Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, we learn where the word terrorism has been hidden all this time.

The Obama administration has made it a point to refrain from using the term terrorism when discussing those who wish to kill Americans in large numbers.  Acts of terrorism are now described by the White House as “man-caused disasters” in order to move away from the politics of fear, according to Obama’s Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano.

Apparently, the politics of fear are being held in reserve for use against the conservative movement.  First, Napolitano’s office released its assessment of “right-wing extremism.”  Now, the Speaker of the California Assembly, Karen Bass, rolls out the T-word to describe talk radio.

When asked, “How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature’s work?” Bass made a conspicious reply.

“The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls.  They operate under a terrorist threat: ‘You vote for revenue and your career is over.’  I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist.  I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair.”

Terrorized, terrorist, terrorism.  Three times in one short paragraph.  Her complaint, in essence, is that talk radio shows and their callers are involved in terrorism by threatening to withhold votes from politicians that don’t do the will of the People.  The liberal position is, presumably, that we either return incompetence and financial irresponsibility to positions of power or we are considered terrorists.

“I guess it’s about free speech,” Bass said.  You guess?!  It amazes me that a person who will sponsor and vote for legislation that strips power and money from the People and redistributes it to illegals and other drags on the economy can even bring herself to utter such ridiculous drivel.  Politicians like Bass are not uncommon, especially in California, providing insight into why that state is marching to the netherworld in a small wicker receptacle.

If Bass wants to get into a discussion of the real domestic terrorists and traitors in the United States, perhaps she would like to take a look in the mirror.  Those in Sacramento and Washington who violate the Constitution on an almost daily basis should be the only ones feared in this country.  The reason Bass fears conservatism is that we who support our founding documents and oppose her brand of 1960s-style Marxist fascism are a real threat to her continued power.

It is becoming easier to see the level of hatred that exists among the liberal political class for those who dissent.  The marginalization of opposition is one of the last steps in creating a true totalitarian state.  We’ve gone from “mean-spirited” to “terrorists.”  If we continue to exercise our right to free speech and continue to fight our country’s slide into socialism, what will liberal politicians like Bass label us next?  “Criminals”?

I agree that these politicians are the true terrorists. We must somehow remove them from office.
