What many folks fail to realize is that the 2nd amendment provides protection for all other amendments. My mind comes to checks and balances. Thomas Jefferson knew that armed citizens had the ability to protect their freedoms. That very fact still rings true today. Tell me, is there any country in the world that enjoys the freedoms we are afforded in the United States without any way to protect them? I thank God for the many people who have given so freely for the freedoms I enjoy today!
